We have officially made it to July and I think it is safe to say that it is HOT! This week they are calling for the temperatures to stay in the mid to high 90s. I thought this would be the perfect time to pool (see what I did there 🙂 ) some resources together so that our pets can stay safe.

Never Leave Your Pet In The Car!

There should be ample access to water.
If your pet will be outside for awhile, have multiple bowls available.
Exercise dogs in the early morning or late evening.
These are the coolest times of the day.
When walking dogs, keep them on the grass & on the shaded side of the street. Sidewalks & Streets will burn their feet.
Put a bare foot or your hand on the ground to test the temperature.
